Our Story

Conceived as a tribute to a protégé and dear friend that passed away recently, Margaret’s Kitchen, at its heart, is an ode to when things were made with more pride and overall quality. The food itself isn’t from the era but the ideal behind it certainly is.

It just so happens that our pastime away from the kitchen was shooting sports and he had a black powder pistol that he named, “Margaret”, which also happened to be my Grammie’s name. And so, Margaret’s Kitchen was born…

MK brings together past culinary experiences and uses current ones to inspire us, while also displaying a willingness to keep changing and keep the bar high. On our menu you’ll always find your “old school” staples in addition to some new thought-out breakfast ideas that you may or may not have seen in the Lakes Region.

So Please, come in, sit down and keep your feet off of the furniture…
